Although podcasting has been around for a number of years, it didn’t really become widespread until about three years ago, when Apple created its iPod mp3 player.. Podcasting is just an audio recording of text - frequently a blog - that can be listened to on an mp3 device or on a computer. The term “podcasting” is a mixture of the terminology “iPod” and “broadcasting”.
